The Werewolf of Vallgorguina

A strange and terrible creature, he harassed the neighbors of the Catalan urbanization of Canada Park, in the municipality of Vallgorguina, in the province of Barcelona, making them live one of the few real stories of fear that even got to have their echo in the press of the time.

During the summer of 1979, some of the doors of the houses of the 300 neighboring families of this urbanization appeared with scratches. Others said they saw "A Werewolf," tall, very strong, covered in hair or manes in some areas, and a white color like the moon.

Some locals claimed that a guttural and strange growl could be heard at night. The phenomenon transcended to such an extent that it became collected in the press of the time as one of the few true stories about strange phenomena with an entire urbanization full of witnesses.

There were those who related this episode to a similar creature that appeared months earlier in the Mountains of Huesca.

We will never know whether it was a hallucination, a macabre joke or the appearance of a being of another dimension or a cryptozoological animal; the phenomenon subsided just as it had begun, but I think real horror stories like this deserve to be immortalized in a novel.
