The House of Witches

The house of witches is a place that, with its amazing facade enriches the beauty of the capital of the state of Guanajuato(Mexico), but behind its beautiful architecture there is a history. This house was ordered to be built on the orders of a wealthy Dutch businessman in 1895, who was imprisoned for a murder he committed, this man had a young daughter named Susan, who left in charge of his two aunts.

The aunts didn't want the girl, they mistreated her and didn't feed her. One day they decided to lock her in the basement of that beautiful house, after days without trying a bite, Susan died and her body was found years later. Some time after this tragic find, it is said that, Susan's ghost roams the house and can be seen through the windows.

It has also been said that, during the nights of a full moon, a young woman of singular beauty appears through one of the windows and invites the walker who passes, to enter the house, when the guest enters he meets two old women with a dark appearance, who invite him a glass of wine and offer to spend the night with the beautiful young woman who saw through the window, but these men who have managed to be persuaded, no longer managed to leave. Now the building is used as an office headquarters, however, some workers say that at night they hear shocking noises and there are those who have even seen young Susan walk down the aisles. This house attracts many tourists for its beautiful architecture that combines styles such as Arabic, Gothic, Neoclassical and Art Nouveau, which makes it different from the others in the area.
