¿EYES LOOK HOW?

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One of them was allowed to sit in bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the only window of the room. The other man had to stay as long in bed lying on his back. The men talked for hours. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their military service, when they have been on vacation.

Every afternoon in bed by the window could sit up, he spent the time by describing to his roommate the things he could see from there. The man in the other bed began to live for those small spaces of an hour, as if his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the outside world. Be seen from the window a beautiful lake, swans, people, swimming and children playing with their little paper boats. Young lovers walked embraced amid flowers of every color of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape and light of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man in the other bed could close your eyes and imagine as picturesque scenes. One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man could not hear the band, he could see everything on your mind, for the knight of the window represented all such descriptive words.

Days and weeks passed. One day, the morning nurse came into the room carrying water for the bath each. Only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, the same who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital to get dependent on the body. As soon as he saw fit, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the change. After being sure she was comfortable sad and I leave him alone.
Slowly and painfully sat leaning on one elbow to take his first glimpse of the outside world. Finally have the happiness to see for himself.

Stretched to look for her. Slowly turn your head and looked out the window. He saw a white wall. The man asked the nurse could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things through the window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and that under no circumstances he could see the wall. She said, "Maybe he just wanted to encourage him."
