A n expert consultant for companies in Time Management wanted to surprise those attending his conference. He produced a large, wide-mouthed jar from under his desk. He placed it on the table, next to a tray of stones the size of a fist, and asked: - How many stones do you think will fit in the jar? After the attendees made their guesses, he began poking stones until he filled the jar. Then he asked: - It is full? Everybody saw it and agreed. Then he took out a bucket of gravel from under the table. He put some of the gravel into the jar and shook it. The pebbles penetrated the spaces left by the large stones. The expert smiled wryly and repeated: - It is full? This time the listeners doubted: - Maybe not. - All right! And he put on the table a bucket of sand that began to pour into the jar.
